FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 40 Watt Hype to release Strong Feet on the Concrete September, 5th, 2006 Fresno, CA: Hip Hop and Latin fusion musicians, 40 Watt Hype, will release their latest full length studio album titled Strong Feet on the Concrete on September 5th, 2006. The eight piece group of Brian Robinson (MC Vagabond), Aaron Wall (MC Awall), Enrique Gonzalas (guitar), Sean Alderette (drums), Bronson Garza (bass), Jared Dyar (percussion), Adan Infante (trombone), and David Hull (keyboard) have been revered for their trademark sound. By combining the sophistication of The Roots with the party atmosphere of the Black Eyed Peas and the Latin flavor of Santana, 40 Watt Hype¹s music emerges as an incomparable groove full of sensuality and style. Describing their music with the phrase, ³White meets Black, meets Chicano, meets unity, when rural-urban street talk combines with songwriting,² 40 Watt Hype embody the blend of cultures, backgrounds, and tastes of their Fresno, CA home. Their blend of true hip hop, nortec style percussion, and a monstrous horn section secured them a spot in Blender¹s ³8 of the Hottest Unsigned Bands in America,² landed them performances alongside The Roots, Ozomatli, Fishbone, The Pharcyde, Blackalicious, 311, and Zion I. 40 Watt Hype has also shared the stage with Ludacris at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival and performed at all of the San Francisco 49ers home games during the 2005 2006 NFL Season. Strong Feet on the Concrete will be the third studio album by 40 Watt Hype and will follow up their 2005 live CD/DVD package titled Live & Direct / Sight & Sound. Strong Feet on the Concrete was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Art Hodge (Santana, The Offspring, Coolio) and mastered at Bernie Grundman Mastering (Dr. Dre, Michael and Janet Jackson). The new album will be distributed to stores throughout the U.S. by Koch and a west coast tour will kick off shortly thereafter.
